Unfortunately, Cragpaw (8) could not beat greencough and died.  The young cat had been doted on by the Clan and they are sorry to see him go.  Creekstar (59) is especially broken up.  Yet another cat has died on her watch.  Is she truly that bad of a leader?  If a star-blessed cat were leader, would they have been able to step up and heal Cragpaw?  Primcrest (47) and her mate are also shaken by the loss of their only kit.  It feels wrong that he should have died so young.  Why can’t they escape loss?  The Clan does need some lifting up, so Creekstar decides to try and act like she’s alright (even though she’s not).  She notices that Fry (112) is upset with the death of his grandkit, so she hides behind a bush to pounce on him.  Rubblekit (1), despite being young, notices that something is up with Creekstar and asks her how she’s doing.  She appreciates it, but doesn’t want to trouble the kit.  Primcrest is feeling a bit lost and asks Creekstar for advice on how to keep going.  Creekstar supposes that giving someone else assistance helps. She suggests helping out Cypressbadger (71) in the nursery.  Primcrest is still not a fan of Rubblekit.  She thinks he’s so much more stuck up and rude than her Cragkit was.  And he’s always using his wind powers to make a breeze whistle through the camp.  And boost the sound of his yowling.  Can’t Cypressbadger get that under control?

Bonefall's Forgotten Warriors

If you've ever set out to make a WC fan project, you've surely heard of Su Susann's Missing Kits. It was a series of authorial statements giving names to previously unnamed cats, and adding interesting little stories to many of them.

But there's also a TON of "Forgotten Warriors" that were created through timeline inconsistencies, offhanded authorial statements, or single throwaway lines in super editions. By their nature, finding these cats on the wiki is a pain in the butt. In this post I hope to compile these cats as a resource for the fandom.

So first, let's define a Forgotten Warrior.

A Forgotten Warrior does not have a big presence. Primrosepaw was first named as a Missing Kit with no mention of her name on the page or in the allegiances. Over time, she has appeared in several books and is now a widely known name in the fandom. But Blossomkit, whose only appearance is in Su Susann's Missing Kits and the worst field guide, will count as a Forgotten Warrior.

A Forgotten Warrior is not just a nondescript Clan cat. For example, if a "ThunderClan warrior" speaks up at a gathering and their name and description is not mentioned, that could be anyone. Same applies to a description that could easily describe an existing character in a Clan-- if a "White ShadowClan Warrior" appears in a modern arc, that may just be Stonewing, BUT, the "Tabby Queen with Distinct Black Markings" of TPB doesn't match any other, so she is a Forgotten Warrior.

A minor appearance inconsistency is not a Forgotten Warrior. Just to pre-empt wiseassery. Blue-eyed Dovewing and Green-eyed Dovewing are not two separate cats-- but I will note down MASSIVE appearance changes in background characters, like the magic color AND gender-changing Stoatfur (just add water!)

(also, I will not be compiling all of the random kittypets, rogues, and loners because there is too many of them. I could, however, be persuaded to compile all cats of a specific group, like The Kin, Sisters, BloodClan, etc.)

Su Susann cats here we go. Elderkit and Tulipkit would also be in here, but I did them a good while back already, so I'm not putting them here again.Just put 'supposedly' in front of every claim after this point lmaoFirst is Lynxkit, Swiftpaw's sibling, and Lavenderkit, Rowanstar and Cedarheart's. Then is Cherrypaw and Chestnutkit, first litter of Robinwing and Fuzzypelt, and Featherkit and Cricketkit, Dappletail's kits. Storkkit and Quailkit, Gorsepaw's siblings, are next, followed by Turtlekit, Quietkit, and Rubblekit, Ashheart and Cinderfur's kits. Cranberrypaw is Thistlepaw (from like two posts back) and Gorsetail's sibling, and Skunkpaw appears during Goosefeather's Curse, the black and white apprentice that tells Goosekit where the other kits are hiding during a hide-and-seek game. And then Drizzlepaw and Rustlepaw were supposed to be another litter from Onestar and Whitetail (along with Willowclaw and Emberfoot lmao), but they are like Su Susann cats squared now, completely Thanos-snapped out of the narrative. Basically these two in particular really don't exist. So why'd I draw them? Idk, I just want to be as through as possible.

These 3 beautiful full kits- died during Brokenstars/TigerStar’s rain (idk which) and I feel so bad, so when Firepaw takes Cinder and her littermates back to Thunderclan, a queen (Ashheart who is their mother) forces Firepaw to take her last kit, Turtlekit.

Hey guys! As the eventual end of my draw-all-the-cats challenge is growing closer, I’ve decided to go back and also draw the characters I’ve missed out previously- either on purpose because I didn’t qualify them as a canon enough character, accidentally by skipping their name or forgetting to post them, or just because they didn’t exist by the time I’d passed their place in the alphabet! So here’s a compilation of some cats that got the short end of the stick, as I run through this with a fine tooth comb.

(note: I’m afraid I probably won’t be writing image descriptions as normal for these “cats I missed” posts because they’re going to be much longer and more sporadic, sorry about that! I’ll keep adding them to the normal in-challenge designs though, and I will probably go back and sort these in future. Thanks for bearing with me)

Moon 208-Greenleaf

Whelp, that streak of good luck ended.  The greenleaf rains hit hard, and, being underground, the camp is prone to flooding.  ElementClan also doesn’t have many water-blessed cats (only Cilantro-69-and Silverpsots-26), so they are at a serious disadvantage if their were to cave flood.  Which, of course, it did.  Lightheather (25) was the first one to sound the alarm that the waters were rising.  In the aftermath, he can’t help but wonder if tragedy would have been prevented had he had acted sooner.  The nursery, where Cypressbadger (74), Cilantro, and the kits were hanging out, was hit hard.  Lotuskit (4) and Rubblekit (4) didn’t know how to swim.  Cypressbadger was able to get Rubblekit out, but, when she went back to try and help Cilantro and Lotuskit, she found that Cilantro had hit her head on a treebranch, sinking to the bottom of the cavern with Lotuskit in tow.  Cypressbadger tried to save them, but was unable to and drowned as well.  Fry (114) helped Chiku (142) to safety. He regretted that he never had the chance to confess his feelings before he succumbed to the waves.  Timberarch (125) tried to help Tornflake (35) and Glowquake (44), both of whom were injured, to safety, but the waves took all three of them. After the floodwaters recede, Chiku lies next to Fry’s body as the Clan sits vigil for him.  His world has ended with Fry’s.  Chiku never considered the possibility that he would one day be without Fry and wishes that they had had more time together. Primcrest (50) and Wildcave (91) are devastated by the loss of their father.  Primcrest wails when she sees Fry’s body, laying still and cold.  If she were more talented with her water magic, could she have saved him?  Once the vigil ends, Primcrest curls tightly in her nest, her throat raw from crying.   For Wildcave, Fry was his last tie to his life before the Clan.  Losing him feels like losing a tail, or a limb, or his shadow.  Wildcave relied on Fry, trusted him, and contemplating moving on from the loss seems impossible.  He and Primcrest hold each other close, taking comfort in their sibling bond.  Primcrest also lost Glowquake, which tears at her.  Primcrest takes comfort in Rubblekit.  Despite they’re rocky start, he reminds her a lot of Cragpaw. Then there’s Frecklestone (35), who lost her only surviving family member.  And little Rubblekit, who lost his mom. He doesn’t really understand what happened, so Creekstar (62) tries to explain it to him.  It’s hard.  She can’t help but blame herself for how the Clan is faring.  How could she do better?  The Clan has known so much loss.  Will it never end?

Moon 207-Greenleaf

Safariaster (114) is taking a turn entertaining Rubblekit (3) and Lotuskit (3) by telling them stories of the Betrayal of the Ravens.  They’re fascinated and between the two of them they make a little whirl-wind of raven feathers. Primcrest (49)  has discovered that she does enjoy having kits in the Clan.  She sees Lotuskit and makes sure to say hi to her.  She does still miss Cragpaw, though.   Glowquake (43), being confined to the healer's den with an infection in his broken leg, is also entertaining the kits.  Lotuskit shows him how she can jump really high using a gust of wind.  And then steals a feather from Frecklestone (34).  She is not happy.  Since she was the one to bring Lotuskit back to camp. Cilantro (68) has found  herself quite attached to her.  She spends most of the afternoon describing the territory to Lotuskit and pretends not to notice when she sticks the feather she stole from Frecklestone to her face.  Meanwhile, Queenyspeckle (83) feels like Creekstar (61) doesn’t do anywhere near as much as she should.  He doesn’t want the position of leader, but he thinks that some other cat might do it better.  Maybe she should retire and let Primcrest take her place.  Some members of the Clan think that, since Queenyspeckle is star-blessed, he should be leader, including Xhosa (75), who feels more at home with the other former loners than she does with the other Clan cats.  She compliments Queenyspeckle and wants to befriend him.  Meanwhile, Creekstar is just glad that the Clan is finally growing instead of shrinking.  It’s nice to have kits playing again. Fry (114) has decided that, next moon, he’s ready to confess his feelings to Chiku (141).  Primcrest and Wildcave (90) are glad that he’s finally going to do it, but it makes him nervous.

Moon 204-Newleaf

Cypressbadger (70) has had her kit!  He’s a little wind-blessed kit named Rubblekit (0).  Cypressbadger isn’t telling anyone who the other parent is and no one is claiming him.  Interesting. Although there are rumors that Cypressbadger has recently been seen with a cat from RaccoonClan.  Maybe Rubblekit’s half-clan?  Cragpaw (7) still has greencough and is getting frustrated.  He’s the son of the deputy-he should be stronger than this!  Fry (111) checks in on him, wanting to make sure his grandkit is alright.  He’s not alright and loudly informs Fry of that fact.  Primcrest (46), while also not happy that her kit has greencough, is glad she got out of the nursery before Rubblekit arrived.  She thinks he’s annoying.  Her kit was never that annoying, right?  Her mate, on the other hand, has an entirely different view of Rubblekit.  Glowquake (40) is excited to have a cousin and wants to spend more time with Rubblekit.  Tornflake (31) and Lightheather (21) continue to grow closer to each other.  They have a great time heckling a neighboring Clan at the gathering and Lightheather feels giddy about getting sent on the same patrol as Tornflake.  Hmm.  Maybe Primcrest is trying to set the two up?  Despite initial worries, Queenyspeckle (80) is proving to have none of the thirst for power and control that Yuccawillow did.  He’s just glad to help out and does his Clanmates’ chores with a smile on his face.  Another kittypet has joined the Clan, a powerless tom who takes the name of Vaxxstreak (90).  He seems nervous about being in the Clan, but he agrees to join because of the medical treatment the Healers can offer.

Moon 206-Newleaf

Cilantro (67) has not made herself well-liked in the Clan.  Fry (113) thinks she’s cold and rude.  Cilantro’s not a huge fan of Fry either and Fry overheard her complaining behind his back.  Creekstar (60) remembers stories about how her grandfather, Yellowcreek, was also seen the same way.  This seems like even more evidence that the two may be related.  As he’s maturing, Rubblekit (2) is getting a little less infuriating to Primcrest (48).  She covers for him when he accidently blows over a patch of herbs.  Maybe it has something to do with the loss of her own kit.  Glowquake (42) is also curious about how Rubblekit is doing.  It seems the Clan has a new cat to dote on.  Xhosa (74) is surprised that Safariaster (113) is still feeling a bit like an outsider in the Clan.  She thought that the powerful Healer had everything figured out, but Safariaster’s actually still struggling to understand the Clan’s complicated history.  So dark-cursed cats are bad?  Unless they’re not?  And Star-blessed cats are good?  But the Clan fears them more than dark-cursed ones?  Weird.  Silverspots (24) feels like the Clan doesn’t appreciate all he does for it.  He wishes he could be out fighting, but the Clan needs a mediator.  He’s sacrificed a lot for them-why can’t they do something to appreciate that and stop fighting amongst themselves! While on patrol, Cilantro and Chiku (89) find a kit and bring her back to camp.  Her name is Lotuskit (2) and she has a relatively strong wind-blessing.  She’s about the same age as Rubblekit. It’ll be nice for him to have someone his age to play with.
